Lloyd H. Miller’s S.S. Booklyn (CD review)
*Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. I received a complimentary CD to review.
We love Lloyd Miller, the leader of the Deedle Deedle Dees and often attend his legendary sing-a-longs that take place all over Brooklyn. He has a way of making everyone sing along to his original, silly yet historical tunes and the kids love it! Some of our favorites are: “I’m a Duck”, “Carroll Street Bridge” and “Honk Honk (Major Deegan)”. Both “T” and “A” were super excited to hear his voice come out of the CD player and are thrilled to be able to have Lloyd’s music at home to listen to whenever they want!

Lloyd Miller, the award-winning and NPR acclaimed leader of the Deedle Deedle Dees ( http://www.lloydhmiller.com ). This Brooklyn-based artist is poised to release a new all-ages solo album, “S.S. Brooklyn,” in late September.
The mostly original songs on the new album are inspired by Lloyd’s frequent and legendary sing-alongs, attended by hundreds of people of all ages, at several Brooklyn venues. There’s a fun story here about how Lloyd is taking music to the masses — not just cool 20-something hipsters, but anyone of any age who enjoys singing and looking at the wonderful environs of Brooklyn with fresh eyes.
A CD release show is scheduled at Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn for October 13th, and beginning in November, Lloyd will lead monthly historical sing-alongs at the Brooklyn Historical Society. Your readers might find it fun to discover this colorful and musical character
