One World Observatory where you can #SeeForever

Being a New Yorker is an “amazing” experience and sometimes we do not take the time to enjoy the wonders of our city. Tourists flock here from far and wide for the New York experience and many times we, New Yorkers don’t experience the “wonders” that are in our own backyard.
We were invited to the family preview day at One World Observatory since , Thirtydaddy, is an iron worker and has been working on Tower 3. I was excited to take the boys high up to witness their city from such a spectacular vantage point.
When we arrived, the boys could not believe that they would be going all the way to the top of the building! Our first adventure was touring through the “Voices” & “Foundations” programs where we heard personal stories from some of the men/women who built One World Trade then we got close up & personal with the actual bedrock which is the foundation the building stands on. Then we boarded the Sky Pod elevator and experience a virtual time-lapse that illustrated the skyline from 1500s through the present day including the building of One World Observatory. The elevator ride to the 102nd floor took less than a minute and the boys were amazed at the lifelike images and in awe of witnessing how the skyline changed over the course of hundreds of years. When we arrived, we were directed to the “See Forever Theater” because the “show” was about to begin. We watched a 2 minute presentation of various scenes depicting life in New York City and popular landmarks; then the screens lifted o reveal the breathtaking #SeeForever view. Then we were directed to the “Main Observatory” where we enjoyed the 360 degree views in all directions. These panoramic views of the city and beyond were truly picture perfect and the boys had fun looking for landmarks they know: The statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. The Sky Portal gave us an unforgettable view of the streets below in real time. We even sat down to enjoy some delicious drinks and appetizers at One World Observatory One restaurant on the 101st floor. The food was amazing and we ate, chatted and enjoyed our #SeeForever view. One World Observatory is an experience for everyone including native New Yorkers!
