I Visited Chuck E. Cheese

After a decade of refusing to visit Chuck E. Cheese, I finally decided to check out what was new & exciting at our local Chuck E. Cheese. I had heard that things had changed but I was pleasantly surprised by how much better everything was…especially the food! I decided to take my boys and their cousin on a 
weekday that they were off from school. As soon as we arrived, the children were overjoyed that I surprised them with a day at Chuck E Cheese because anytime they would ask me to take them I always refused. We arrived early because I wanted to try to avoid the crowds, but people were already lined up waiting for the place to open. The staff at the Atlantic Center location in Brooklyn, NY were absolutely delightful, they greeted all the guests and we were able to check-in easily. They were friendly, helpful and attentive to the children as well as the adults. Plus, I love the safety precaution of stamping children and adults who are together, this really allowed me to relax a lot and not worry about a little one getting lost. We grabbed a table, sent the little ones off each with a cup full of tokens and began checking 
out the new menu. There is such a variety of items on the new menu, we wanted to try it all! We decided on a thin crust pizza, boneless wings & traditional wings in one of the new flavored; chipotle honey. While we waited for our food to be prepared, I walked around with my one year old, who was even able to try out a few rides himself. I was invited to the kitchen to see the process for myself, the kitchen was fully stocked, super clean and the kitchen staff was hard at work preparing fresh made-to-order pizzas. After about twenty minutes, our food was brought out to our table and we enjoyed every last bite. The server even checked back with us after she delivered the food to see if we needed anything else. The pizza had a thin crust and the wings were very tasty. I have to admit that I was impressed with the food: the pizza dough is made fresh on the premise, the cheese is shredded to order and the veggies are locally sourced. Now that I have revisited Chuck E Cheese and it is definitely not what I remembered, I will definitely be back with my boys!
