We LOVE Nintendo & we LOVE Disney…so when we heard about the new Disney Art Academy game…we were beyond excited! We headed out to the Nintendo store at Rockefeller Center to play the new game with Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World star) herself! She showed us some tips on how we could master the art of drawing over 80n Disney and Pixar characters ranging from amateur to expert lessons.
We were introduced to the Disney Art Academy game, given a Nintendo 3DS and our virtual art class began where everyone learned how to draw the adorable Olaf, from Frozen. The game provided thorough step by step directions and tutorials that even, “A” (4 years old) was able to follow and create a pretty good version of Olaf all by himself!
He was so excited about the game that he continued drawing and completed a drawing of Mike Wizozki too! The magic brush even makes it easy to add patterns to your completed works of art that you can save in your very own art gallery and even share locally (to other DS systems or online with friends and family!
Disney Art Academy is available for the Nintendo 3DS ($29.99) but will also work on the Nintendo 2DS system too. There are over 80 characters to choose from including: heroes, princesses, friends, villains, classic, animals, Pooh & Friends and 3D characters. I am super excited to try out my own drawing skills and discover my inner artist. I am going to draw Minnie first then I plan to move on to perfect my drawing of one of my favorite villains, Ursula.
The price of the Nintendo 2DS ( available in crimson red, electric blue & sea green) is now $79.99 just in time for Summer road trips. This system is perfect for younger gamers and now comes preloaded with Mario Kart 7! It will be available starting May 20th at the Best Buy, Game Stop, Toys R Us,
morning’s news about the Nintendo 2DS price drop, which is going down to $79.99 on May 20. I thought this would be something of interest given the great new value this offers parents, especially as summer is approaching and parents look for ways to keep their kids entertained on car trips and plane rides! It actually comes pre-installed with Mario Kart 7 (a really fun racing game kids love) so it’s even more appealing.Disney
