We LOVE visiting museums especially one’s that are super kid friendly but we had never ben to the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey. We were invited to a blogger family day hosted by Momtrends to come check out the new Turtle Power! TMNT exhibit and the rest of the museum which was only about a 45 minute drive from Brooklyn, NY.
The first ever Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles museum exhibit premiered at Liberty Science Center and will be sharing their life lessons and team building skills from now till September 5th.
My boys are Super TMNT fans and were beyond excited to meet the turtles and visit the exhibit! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secrets of the Sewer exhibit produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Nickelodeon features team-building challenges, collaborative games and mind-teasing puzzles.
*Raphael (Raph) – The team’s bad boy, wears a dark red mask and wields a pair of sai.
*Leonardo (Leo) – courageous leader & devoted student of his sensei, wears a blue mask and wields two katana.
*Donatello (Donnie)-scientist, inventor & engineer, wears a purple mask and wields a bo staff.
*Michelangelo (Mikey) – free-spirited, relaxed, and often goofy jokester, wears an orange mask and wields a pair of nunchucks.
We were transported into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s sewer lair: we had a great time exploring and uncovering the Secrets of the Sewer and learning a few things along the way.
The exhibit was filled with interactive and physical opportunities for visitors to There was a computer game where we practiced our ninja speed and pizza slicing skills. A rope maze that allowed us to practice and perfect our ninja stealth and avoid the Krang. Balancing boards where we were able to practice balance and showcase our inner ninja.
On our way out of the exhibit, we all took a quiz to see which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle we were most similar to and just as I thought, I am Leonardo, the smart devoted leader of my crew!
The Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles Secrets of the Sewer exhibit is included with general admission to Liberty Science Center, that range from $17.75-$21.75. Members and children under 2 are free.
