Countdown to Family Forward 2016!
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post.
Last year was our first year attending the Family Forward family retreat organized by the Mom It Forward team. I have been counting down the days till Family Forward 2016 alone because my little ones have no idea that w are doing it again!
The retreat was filled with tis of family friendly workshops, events and surprises! We arrived at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Fl and were immediately greeted by friendly staff!
The rooms at Loews Royal Pacific Resort were beautiful, spacious and extremely comfortable. We requested two adjoining rooms that worked out well for our family of five plus grandma. We were even surprised with a welcome package with a handwritten note plus gifts from the resort and Universal Studios.
Our family had some fun bonding time at Family Forward attending and participating in hands-on workshops and events That were centered on making memories and teaching skills we as a family could apply everyday such as communication, creativity, team building, and trust.
The weekend was filled with character surprises, fun memorable photo opportunities and lots of memory making for us as a family. There were breakfasts, lunches, dinner and dessert parties and everyone was entertained and satisfied. We danced at a breakfast party, enjoyed desserts after hours at the Harry Potter section of Universal Orlando and were part of a VIP group tour!
The highlight of Family Forward has to be our group 12 person VIP tour of Universal Orlando. The boys couldn’t wait to explore the park and I love that our VIP tour group was able to check out some of the more popular rides without waiting on the long long long lines.
Universal Orlando was so FUN for us as parents as well as the kids, there really is something or everyone there! My littlest, who was almost a year old, and my middle son, who was 3 years old had a ball in the Curious George section of the park. My oldest, who was 5 years old, ventured off with his dad to get on more “grown-up” rides and I was at home in Springfield, home of my favorite family, The Simpsons.
I am looking forward to what memories, experiences and surprise that Family Forward 2016 brings!
