Kazoops

Kazoops is a new show for children ages 3-6 is coming to Netflix for the US and Canada on September 2nd. This new pre-school TV program aims to highlight the importance of creative play to assist young children in developing their critical thinking skills.
Kazoops is an animated series about Monty, a six year old boy, and Jimmy Jones, his family pet pig. Monty has an extremely vivivd imagination and often challenges ideas that he ponders about. When Monty says his catchphrase “Kazoops Jimmy Jones” we know we are about to be transported into his imagination and begin a fun filled adventure.
There is a unique song that accompanies every new adventure taken by Monty and Jimmy Jones that make you want to dance and sing along. They are returned to the real wold to join Monty’s family when the song ends and he offers new insight on whatever idea they were focused on.
The boys were pretty excited to check out an episode of Kazoops and they really seemed to love how Monty challenged the world around him. They love the idea of Jimmy Jones, the family pet pig, being Monty’s very best friend and accompanying him on his adventures. They hummed along to the adventure specific songs and have even began saying “Kazoops” when they have an idea.
I love the idea of encouraging and teaching preschoolers to challenge ideas and create their own perspective when a challenge arises. make sure you and your preschooler catch Kazoops on Netflix!
