Moving from an apartment to a three level house has been quite a change for my family and I. We love all the space we now have but with three young boys under the age of 6, it seems that they can be anywhere in the house. In our apartment, we had a safety gate to keep the children out of the kitchen and that was about it. Now we have two staircases inside the house and keeping the boys off the stairs and safe is a new issue.
The Stair Barrier offers a variety of gates: banister to banister ($100-$150) , wall to banister ($115-$155), outdoor gates ($100-$155) and custom designed gates. We decided to get a wall to banister gate for our main stairway. One of the issues we had when looking for a gate for the stairs was that it would be the focal point of the house for anyone coming through our front door so we wanted something functional yet decorative.
We chose the Wall to Banister with “Welcome” patch in khaki. It is available in both regular and wide and after making a few simple measurements you will know exactly which size is right for your home.
The Stair Barrier was pretty simple to install using a few tools in the house. Our Stair Barrier now offers a warm welcome to guests and keeps the little ones off the stairs.
