WOW Summit 2016
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
The #WOWsummit 2016 was held on October 7th-8th in the Washington D.C. Area at the Gaylord National Hotel. It is a conference for bloggers and moms who live and want to learn about healthy lifestyles. This was my 2nd year attending and I learned lots, networked, had some fun and was introduced to tons of amazing new brands! Moms Meet put together an amazing line-up of speakers and sponsors including: Solgar, National Geographic Kids, Tasty Bite and Mary’s Gone Quackers.
As soon as I checked in, I knew I was going to have a great time: the staff was friendly and extremely helpful! I received my Blogger badge, a program of events, a shirt, bag and some raffle tickets.
Day 1 was focused on bloggers and there were a number of blogger workshops to help “Build Your Blog”:
- Understanding Your Audience: How Blogs Go Viral
Dan R. Morris & Rachel Martin, Blogging Concentrated - Blogging Authority: How to Master the Media and Gain Credibility
Laura Harders, Beltway Bargain Mom - How to Create Fast and Easy Blog Content
Theresa Ceniccola, International Christian Mompreneur Network - Rebranding Your Blog as You Grow
Maggie Miller, Family Frugal Fun - A Beginner’s Guide to Google Analytics
Adrienne Dupree, Leave the Corporate World Behind - Productivity: How to Stay Focused with Purpose and Clarity
Theresa Ceniccola, International Christian Mompreneur Network - How to Create an Effective Facebook Marketing Strategy
Dan R. Morris & Rachel Martin, Blogging Concentrated - How to Pitch Your Blog to Brands
Maggie Miller, Family Frugal Fun - How to Transition from Amateur to Pro Blogger
Dan R. Morris & Rachel Martin, Blogging Concentrated - How to Build a Community with Facebook Groups
Anne Parris, midlifeboulevard.com
Followed by a “speed-dating” session where bloggers met with representatives of over 20 companies in groups of about 3 or 4 for approximately five minutes each.
This was pretty fun and kept us upbeat and moving. I made lots of meaningful connections even though it was a short period of time. Many of the rands were very excited to begin or continue working with bloggers in a variety of ways through brand ambassadorships, product review/giveaways and sponsored posts/campaigns. There was also a Cocktails & Comedy hour followed by a late night blogger roundtable discussion!
Day 2 was for moms and consisted of speaker sessions, workshops and an all day exhibitor hall.
The exhibitor hall was open on Saturday, October 8th from 9am-5pm and was filled with brand representatives to chat with, products to sample and even samples/coupons to take home!
Here are my top 5 picks from the Exhibitor Hall!
Go Organically fruit snacks are made with real fruit and free of preservatives, artificial flavors, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, gluten, genetically modified ingredients and trans fats.
Sunridge Farms is a family owned far that has been producing high quality foods for over 30 years providing organic and all natural nuts & seeds, dried fruit, candies, and snacks & trail mixes.
National Geographic Kids was on site showcasing their wide variety of material ranging from board books to almanacs. There really is a book for the interest of any little one in every age range!
Crystal Body Deodorant gave out samples and most of their products were available for us to see. This was my first time really learning about the end and I am excited to try them out for myself.
Fresh Wave natural deodorizers removes odor with natural products. Their products range from sprays, gels, packs, candles, laundry boosters, pet shampoos and vacuum beads.
At the end of the #WOWSummit my goody bag was filled with awesome swag off healthy products for my family and I to try! I really can’t wait till the Moms Meet #WOWSummit 2017!
