Bricks 4 Kidz teaches children the principles of engineering and architecture using LEGO® bricks. They offor a variety of classes, after-school programs, in-school workshops, camps, robotics and even birthday parties! So, since Tristan Reese was turning 7 years old and LOVES all things Science & Math, I knew he would LOVE having his birthday party at the Bricks 4 Kidz in Brooklyn, NY located in Park Slope at 66 6th Avenue.
Planning the birthday party was pretty simple: Bricks 4 Kidz there are a few party packages to choose from: The Deluxe Party Package, Premiere Party Package or the Workz Party Package ($425-$625). The staff at Bricks 4 Kidz took care of all the party activities, electronic invitations and simple decor (personalized Birthday sign, tablecloths and balloons). The parties are perfect for children age 5 and older and all the activities are designed for the age range of your party guests. These two hour parties are drop-offs and additional time can be purchased if needed. You are able to bring additional decorations, food and snacks of your own.
I found these awesome Science themed party decorations which included centerpieces, plates, napkins, a treat holder and photo props which made a great addition to this STEM themed party! The staff had already set-up a table covered with a table cloth where we put displayed the snacks, drinks, cupcakes and goody boxes!
Bricks 4 Kidz provides two customized hands-on projects for party guests to complete. One of the projects was to create a keepsake with Perler beads. Prior to the party, the staff contacted me and asked what the theme of the party was then they provided me with a selection of Perler bead crafts. I suggested having the party guests create their initials because it would be a fun personalized project for everyone.
The other project the party guests completed was a hit. The kids used a secret kit to create their own working spin art machine using top secret Lego kits. They worked in groups, following the instructions and receiving some help and guidance from the party hosts. They were super excited to connect the motors and actually create their own spin art using paper plates, markers and the machine they had just created!
Free play brick building was offered at the beginning of the party and then again later on. The guests all decided to build different things, some working together and others working individually. It was amazing to see how creative everyone was, creating their own colorful brick creations! Tristan’s STEM themed birthday party at Bricks 4 Kidz was truly a learning experience for the kids!
