The First Noel at the Apollo Theater showing 12/10-12/18
The Classical Theatre of Harlem is back this year with The First Noel, in collaboration with the Apollo Theater. This Harlem-based holiday musical features music that combines several genres—from pop to jazz to gospel — to tell a universal story of love and belonging.
Book, music and lyrics by Lelund Durond Thompson (founder, YellaFella Entertainment and CTH Artistic Associate) and Jason Michael Webb (Broadway’s The Color Purple, Motown the Musical, Brooklyn Tabernacle). Steve H. Broadnax III (Dominique Morisseau’s Blood at the Root) serves as director and Brian Harlan Brooks (Motown: The Musical) as choreographer.

The State Ballet Theatre of Russia (from the city of Voronezh), founded by the legendary Bolshoi Theatre Ballet principal dancer, Maya Plisetskaya, is now directed by the award-winning Moiseyev Dance Company soloist Nikolay Anokhin.
Holiday Train Show at NYBG from 11/19-1/16
The Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden features model trains running through a world of over 150 replica landmarks created out of bark, leaves and other natural materials.
The enchanting setting of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory showcases more than 150 scaled iconic buildings and structures under thousands of twinkling lights. Step into a city in miniature where famed New York architecture is recreated using bark, leaves, and other natural materials. The recent exhibition expansion continues with more trains, an all-new Queensboro bridge, and a true New York finale featuring a whimsical tribute to the iconic Coney Island amusement park’s architecture and attractions.
