Zingo! is Helping My Late Talker Use His Words

My boys love playing games and finding toddler friendly games that all my boys can play are on the top of my list. We love Think Fun games and my older boys (age 5 & age 7) love their Zingo! Sight Words game but their younger brother usually cannot play along. So, we decided to try out the original Zingo! game for them to play together and help my youngest, who is a late talker, use his words.
It’s not just bingo. It’s Zingo! ($19.99) a matching game that encourages pre-readers and early readers alike to match the pictures and words to their challenge cards. The Zingo! Zinger dispenses tiles and fun as young minds quickly race to be the first player with a full card and yell “ZINGO!” With two levels of play, this matching game builds language skills through fast-paced play.
My youngest son seems to be a late talker and is not clearly saying as many words as he should be at his age. we have been working on helping him with his words by naming objects and asking him to repeat them, depending on his mood, he may or may not repeat the words. He likes playing games and the Zingo! game is one that could assist him with building his language skills.
We play the Zingo! game every other night together to encourage my toddler to say the words on the tiles before matching them to the pictures on his Zingo! card. He has to be in charge of the Zinger and is the official “announcer” of the tiles.
My boys really enjoy playing Zingo! together: they are having fun, bonding, working on social skills and best of all helping their little brother develop his speech!
