Liberty Science Center Myth Busting & Illusions Giveaway

All new exhibits have arrived at Liberty Science Center and they are fun and full of surprises! We had a fun filled day checking out the new exhibits hosted by Momtrends! Mythbusters, the popular television show has a brand new exhibit called Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition. The exhibit and interactive show invites fans of science & experiments to take a closer look and gain some background knowledge about many of the experiments performed on the show AND visitors even get the chance to participate in a some of them! The Illusion: Nothing Is As It Seems exhibit is full of optical illusions to test your senses!
The hands-on exhibit, MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition features a few fun myth busting experiences and will be at Liberty Science Center from February 18 through September 4, 2017. On display are over 60 artifacts from the set of the show plus hands-on experiments where you get real results.

Some of our favorites were:
- Dodge a bullet: can a person dodge a bullet?
- Running in the Rain: will running, rather than walking, in the rain really keep you drier?
- Butter Side Up: Does it always seem that a dropped piece of toast lands butter dished down?
We performed a few of these experiments and busted a few of our own myths!

The Live Demonstration Stage show is a real life scientific experiment complete with hypothesis, data collection, trials & a conclusion where the myth is either proved or busted with audience participation!
The Illusion: Nothing Is As It Seems exhibit will be at Liberty Science Center from February 4 through August 27, 2017, and is included with general admission tickets 9$21.75 for adults, $18.75 for seniors 62+, and $17.75 for children 2-12). Museum members and children under 2 are free.
This exhibit is filled with optical and fusion illusions aimed to distort your perception of what is real. The boys really had fun attempting to figure out the answers to the illusions and were really entertained by how their senses could be so easily distorted!

I am so fascinated by those illusion exhibits! It’s so interesting what actually happens!
