Thalia Kids Book Club Presents Dork Diaries Author in NYC

The Dork Diaries series by Rachel Renee Russell are personal diaries of Nikki Maxwell, a 14 year old middle schooler that chronicles her adventures in and out of school.
Author, Rachel Renée Russell is an attorney who prefers writing tween books to legal briefs. (Mainly because books are a lot more fun and pajamas and bunny slippers aren’t allowed in court.) Rachel lives in Chantilly, Virginia.

Young readers may interact with the author discussing her number 1 New York Times bestselling Dork Diaries series, which follows Nikki Maxwell as she chronicles her life through hilarious stories and art in her illustrated journals. Author Russell is an attorney by day. Since 2009, she has published 11 Dork Diaries books, which are now published in 36 languages worldwide. As Russell says, “Many of the events in the book series are based on real life experiences my two daughters and I had when we attended middle school. I’m thrilled to know that my book series has inspired so many young girls and boys to be proud of their uniqueness and embrace their inner DORK!”
