Summer Fun at Sahara Sams
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. We were given complimentary admission for the day. All options are my own.
We were invited to check out Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor & Outdoor Water Park as part of a #NJMommyMeetUp hosted by Nicole of MommyTipsByCole with a few other blogger families. It was about a two hour drive from Brooklyn and we couldn’t wait to see what was in store for us! As soon as we parked and walked up, there were gigantic red adirondack chairs that were perfect for posing in and taking pictures: your whole crew would probably fit in one of these chairs!
We entered through Sam’s Arcade, were given maps and walked to our reserved outdoor cabana (which can be reserved for the whole day, in advance) outfitted with chairs, complimentary bottles of water, outlets & cabana service to order additional drinks and food.
Since the weather was nice, we decided to enjoy the Outdoor Beach Club first; the 12,000 sq ft wave pool was our first stop! We all had a great time swimming & floating in the wave pool then facing off with the waves!
Next, we headed indoors to continue the water fun in the Congo Bongo River where we leisurely floated in our tubes around and around and around, dodging the mini waterfalls along the way. The kids played a few rounds of Sam’s Slamdunker (aqua basketball) then tested their balance skills on Crocodile Flats.
I had the chance to relax on the built-in pool benches in Cleopatra’s Cove while the kids swam and splashed around. The oldest even decided to check out Tut’s Twister (head first mat racing) a couple times. The whole family is able to enjoy Sahara Sam’s Oasis because there are attractions for all ages both indoor and outdoor.
