Visiting the happiest place on Earth, usually takes lots of saving & planning. Deciding whether or not to take your toddler to visit a Disney Park can weigh heavily in making your final decision BUT it is actually a great idea to take a toddler to Disney for a couple reasons: children under the age of 3 are FREE, there are lots of family friendly attractions and Disney memories last forever! We decided to visit Epcot for the first time with our three boys, ages 2,5 &7 years old this past summer and everyone had a great time!
1.Spaceship Earth- As soon as we entered the park, the boys were immediately drawn to the giant metallic sphere and wanted to go inside of it first, so this was our very first ride at Epcot. We enjoyed a slow ride through Earth’s history and caught a sneak peek of what could be the future!
2. The Seas with Nemo & Friends
We easily spent the majority of our visit to Epcot at The Seas attractions, especially since the 2 year old was able to participate in everything here and did not want to leave the giant aquariums. First, we hopped on a “clamobile” and went on an adventure to find Nemo himself.
Sea Base is an ocean themed destination filled with amazing sea life that can be viewed through gigantic aquariums. The boys loved getting up close to the animals (sharks, rays, turtles) swimming by and pointing out their favorites by name and learning some cool new fish facts. There are even opportunities to get even closer and touch some of the sea creatures.
Turtle Talk with Crush was a hit with both kids and adults during this interactive real-time Q & A session with Crush who asked and answered questions with the audience.
Bruce’s Shark World is a fish friendly interact exhibit filled with real live fish exhibits, fish trivia and lots of fun photo opps.
3. The Land-
Even though my 2 year old was not tall enough to venture on the Soarin ride (40″ & up), we split up and he was able to enjoy a couple rides: Living with the Land and The Circle of Life while his older brothers rode Soarin.
4. Character Meet & Greets- We may Baymax himself at Hiro’s workshop! The boys could not wait to exchange a signature fist bump and grab a picture with the friendly inflatable robot.
5. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth: a 12 minute fireworks & light show telling the story of the Earth’s past, present and future.
Our visit to Epcot was magical and we plan to head back really soon to check out the World Showcase.
