A Day Out with Thomas at the Strasburg Railroad

You are never too old to enjoy steam trains…especially everyone’s favorite little blue engine, Thomas the Tank Engine! My family and I attended our very first Day Out with Thomas at the Strasburg Rail Road where we took a ride on Thomas & Percy! The trains will be there for a limited time from June 16-June 24.
My boys were absolutely delighted by the steam trains, especially the changing expressions of Thomas & Percy. As part of our Percy package, we took a 20 minute ride on Thomas and a 12 minute ride on Percy then had the opportunity to take one-of-a-kind family photos in front of each engine!
The steam train rides at Strasburg Railroad took us back in time for a little while from the interior furnishings and decor, to the outfitted conductors who were friendly and full of all sorts of steam train facts!
Once, onboard the steam trains, the boys each grabbed a window seat and simply enjoyed the scenery of the surrounding Amish farms and lush countrysides.
My city kids loved this brief opportunity to experience some country life, ride on Thomas & Percy and collect even more train facts. There are also lots of Thomas themed activities to keep you busy including: rides on the Cranky cars, Thomas mini Powerwheels, storytelling, Pint-Sized Pufferbelly rides, wooden play tables temporary tattoos, Imagination tables and more!
