Holidays in the city mean checking out all the seasonal shows around the city. “A Christmas Carol in Harlem” presented by the The Classical Theatre of Harlem has taken a classic holiday story and added a fun modern twist to it!
This tale is set in Harlem and follows the miser, Ebenezer Scrooge (Anthony Vaughn Merchant) as he is taken on a magical journey through his past, present and future.
The roller skating, Ghost of Christmas Past takes the audience on a musical adventure through Scrooge’s childhood and early days.
The ghost of Christmas Present serves some much needed truth and actually gets the old miser to want to change his ways.
A Christmas Carol in Harlem is filled with classic and original holiday music as well as some carols with hits of gospel, hip-hop, pop and some R&B influences that gets everyone in the spirit of the season…the Harlem way.
