The Journal of Joshua Loper is the story of a 16 year old Black cowboy on his cattle herding journey along the Chisholm Trail in 1871. This is the first boo selection in the “Boys & Books” book club in Brooklyn, NYC hosted by the @DonaldsonBrothers and attended by The Mommy Factor & @MeetTheCurlys . The boys had a great discussion about what life was like in the 1800s and some of the life lessons Joshua learned on his journey. Then they crated their own wooden spoon bookmark crafts based on the book.
