Date nights have become few and far between so we definitely combine a couple outings into one whenever we have the opportunity to go out together as a couple. We finally decided to check out our local iPic theater located at Fulton Market for our outing, I especially loved that we cold watch a movie, enjoy some good food and have cocktails! The theaters are small, making the whole experience more charming. There are a number of various priced seating options available at the iPic theaters ranging from self-service to full-service, pillows, blankets & unlimited popcorn. We splurged on the Pod seats which are a pair of large leather chairs with a swivel table. Our server was just a button press away and catered to our requests.
We both wanted to check out US, especially since I had not seen a horror/thriller movie in the theater for quite some time. US, is a visually stunning movie with layers of deep implications woven throughout.
“What is there to say about, US, if you are looking for a suspenseful thriller this movie is for you. If you are looking for a movie to scare you, this movie is for you. But if you are lookimg for a movie to make perfect sense then this is definitely not the movie for you. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed US, it is a movie that I want to see more than once. This is another Jordan Peele masterpiece that is very gripping and loaded with layered meaning. If Get Out gets a 5 out of 5 from me then Us gets a 4.5 out of 5.” -@Thirtydaddy
After the movie, we headed upstairs to the Tuck Room where we chatted about the film, sipped some well made cocktails and enjoyed the vibrant speak-easy style atmosphere.
