Baby showers are lots of fun from the games, food and miniature gifts. BUT how about attending a baby shower for not just 1 but 2 expectant moms who are also TV personalities! I had the opportunity to celebrate with Abby Huntsman from The View and Sara Haines from Strahan & Sara at the most adorable baby shower!
The decor was a mixture of pinks, blues, flowers, baby blocks, stuffed animals and the cutest baby toys!
The food was mini-sized…almost too cute to eat! There were Mac & Cheese donuts, Baby Macs, Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Tiny Tacos and even Little Egg Rolls in the smallest takeout boxes ever!
My favorite, were the Baby Macs: these bite-sized burgers packed some serious full-size flavor and I was fine with devouring a couple of them!
The baby shower games included a guessing game where we guessed the number of M&Ms in a baby bottle for each mother to be based on some hints about their life…I lost. We also played a game where we had to guess which mom-to-be said what using the information we knew about them. The games were a great way to get to know Abby, Sara and their families even more.
Party guests mingled, snapped photos in the photo booth and chatted with the honored guests. I really loved that we sat down, roundtable style and had a pretty honest and candid conversation about motherhood and parenting…NO judgements! Where Sara, shared her open & honest previous experiences with postpartum depression that I truly appreciated.
I wish these ladies speedy deliveries and even speedier recoveries, especially since they already have little ones at home who will be promoted to big siblings!
Motherhood and parenting is truly a journey filled with ups and downs BUT we are all going through it no matter which side of the television screen year on!
