I have been a long time attendee of the New York International Auto Show and really enjoy it even though I still DO NOT have a drivers license! It is a great outing with friends and family with so many amazing automobiles to see, Ride & Drive opportunities, DJ performances, Meet & Greets and so much to learn. And non-drivers can have so much fun here too!
I had a blast with A Girls Guide to Cars at their annual Girls Night Out media preview before the show actually opened to the public. So, even if you do not drive, there are lots of activities for you to partake in PLUS most of the cars are immobile!
There are lots of fun photo opps, the Jaguar booth has a pretty great backdrop with props and a photo booth! Make sure to check out the Car of the Year the I-Pace, the first all electric Jaguar performance SUV that can travel up to 234 miles on a full charge with 394 horsepower.
The Acura booth showcases some of their precision crafted performance vehicles as well as their newly revealed, Acura TLX PMC edition.
I am a die-hard Mercedes Benz lover, there is just something about this German luxury and beauty of this brand that has always attracted me. Whenever I do get my license, I will need one of these. The GLC-Class series sets benchmarks for ride, handling, safety technology and comfort. Make sure to jump in one or ALL of the cars, especially the GLS 580 that was just revealed when you are at the Mercedes Benz booth
Rivian is a new electric vehicle manufacturer, it is definitely worth a walk through to experience their all electric display. The R1T is an ALL-electric 5 passenger pickup with a range of 400+ miles and a wading depth of 1 meter. This electric beast can reach 60mph in 3 seconds and has a tow rating of 11,000 lbs!
Audi has two new fully electric vehicles: the A3 Sportback E-Tron and the E-Tron. The Audi R8 coupe features unique technology that can emulate a rear wheel drive vehicle but has the ability to send up to 100% of available torque to to the front axle in certain driving conditions.
The Toyota booth features over 20 vehicles ranging from coupes, to hybrids to trucks. The Toyota Live stage will feature industry chats as well as fun DJ performances!
