We have SO many stuffed toys in my house of three boys…over 100 (117 to be exact). Over the years, I have attempted to clean a couple stuffies but have never felt that they have been thoroughly cleaned. Many of our beloved toys have also been sacrificed because they are missing appendages, leaking stuffing or worse. But, Lysol’s Laundry Sanitizer and Teddy Repair program has given these loved toys new life!
I was first introduced to to Lysol laundry Sanitizer from my mother-in-law, who asked me to add it to our shopping list a couple months ago but I never really looked into what it was for. After attending a breakfast with fellow influencers and the Lysol team hosted by Momtrends, I now know and understand why all parents need it in our laundry lives!
Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is an additive you add to even your cold water laundry that kills 99.9% of bacteria, when used as directed. I wash most of my laundry, including my boy’s clothes and toys in cold water and learning this was pretty alarming to me.
When I do my children’s laundry, I want everything to be clean…really clean and adding some Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to every load will remove odor-causing bacteria and sanitize without using chlorine bleach.
We also chatted about the #LysolTeddyRepair program that promises to bring stuffed animals back to life providing steps on how to mend and sanitize any well-loved toys in your home. I learned how to repair one of my boys favorite stuffed toys…the POOP emoji using the slip stitch technique Mandi Gubler of Vintage Revivals taught us. This stitch can be used to repair seams that have opened up but are almost invisible when completed.
Using Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is so simple:
- Put dirty clothes in the washing machine adding your laundry detergent as usual
- Add Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to the fabric softener compartment
- Start the desired laundry cycle
Your laundry loads will come out sanitized with 99.9% of bacteria killed and smelling so very fresh!
