LEGO Duplo blocks are generally for little ones ages 1 1/2- 3 years old BUT what can you do with the blocks when your little ones outgrow them?

I used some sets of our LEGO Duplo blocks to create a hands-on activity to practice multiplication facts!

I gathered twelve 2×4 plates and 24 2×2 bricks, trying to use differs colors for each multiplication fact. Next, I used a marker to write the product on the 2×4 plate and the factors on each of the 2×2 bricks.

My boys enjoy timing themselves to see how long it takes them to complete a whole family. Once they have mastered one multiplication table, I will erase the numbers and create another set on the blocks. This activity is a great way to help students memorize their multiplication tables.
