Parents Scents: What can be better than creating your very own customized fragrance? I created my own scent in a step by step process where I blended a selection of scents to make a personalized blend that pleasantly surprised me. I chose Patchouli and Sandalwood for my base notes. Then, Lavender and Damask Rose for my middle notes. Finally, Bergamot and Rosewood for my top notes I named my fragrance “Eau de Mom” and absolutely love the way it smells!
Parents Food: Playing with your food is allowed when creating edible works of art for a Halloween party! These creepy fruit skewers are super easy to make using kiwi, marshmallows, melon, edible candy eyes (and dabs of peanut butter to attach the candy to the fruit). Chocolate Spiders…yes please! Using chocolate donuts, chocolate ganache, pretzel rods/sticks, sprinkles and edible eyes, you can create unique cocoa spiders that your guests are sure to admire before eating them.
- Dip the top of the donuts in chocolate ganache
- Insert 8 pretzel sticks into the sides too create spider legs (you may have to break them to your desired length)
- Decorate with sprinkles and edible eyes
- Let harden & enjoy!
