We will be celebrating and representing Black History all year long with the help of some super easy shirts I created using the Cricut Maker and the Cricut Easy Press 2 with adjustable heat up to 400℉ combining the speed of a heat press and the convenience of an iron, giving you fast, effortless results that last, even after many washes. It is lightweight, portable, easy to store, and compatible with lots of major brands of heat-transfer vinyl and all Cricut Infusible Ink™ products.
Materials:
There are a number of FREE designs in Cricut Design Space and I found a couple I liked by searching for “Black History” designs. I decided to create some “I Am Black History” shirts for my boys to celebrate Black History in February and beyond.
Since, the design was already made, all I had to do was hit “Make It”, load the iron-on vinyl face down on the mat and make sure that the “mirror” setting was on. My iron-on was ready to be transferred in less than five minutes.
Transferring the image to the shirt took about another five minutes. Make sure that the area has no wrinkles by first smoothing it out with the Cricut Easy Press, next position the iron-on in where you want it, set the temperature to 350 degrees and begin the heat transfer process (about 30-45 seconds) heating the front and the back of the shirt. The machine will beep letting you know it is time to remove it from the shirt.
This project was super simple and I created shirts for my boys to wear anywhere and everywhere using my Cricut Maker and Cricut Easy Press 2.
