During the Covid-19 outbreak masks have been very scarce and fortunately Circut has a template for making no-sew masks that can be made using old T-shirts.
I found an old Lilo & Stitch pajama shirt that I had grown out of and decided it would make a great face mask!
Materials:
- Mini crafting scissors
- Large crafting scissors
- Sharpie or Permanent marker
- Old T-shirt, cotton pajama shirt or cotton dress
- Cardstock (to print pattern from Cricut)
Step 1: Print out the pattern below on cardstock you have then cut out the pattern
Step 2: Fold the cloth and place the pattern on top of the shirt, you will need both the front and back for a double layered mask. Trace the shape of the pattern on the fabric using a Sharpie/permanent marker.
Step 3: After Tracing the pattern, cut it out and open it. The shape of the shirt should now be be a rectangle with curved corners.
Step 4: Cut out the slits in the pattern cardstock.
Step 5. Use the marker again to trace the slit lines on to the shirt.
Step 6: Cut the slits in the shirts and open to see the completed mask.
To put on the mask, align slits on both pieces. Place the top slits over your ears then pull up the bottom slits over those. Tada! You now have a double layered no-sew face mask to help keep you safe!
