My boys, @DonaldsonBrothers LOVE writing and receiving letters via Snail Mail! Writing to friends and family has been a great way for them to practice their writing skills: handwriting, grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary building, engagement, proofreading and important letter writing steps.
We have often discussed starting a “Write-Me” box for kids to encourage these skills and get them writing more but have put the idea on the back burner. Now that we have been sheltering-in-place for over two months now and have been unable to physically see friends & family, the boys have written a number of letters to stay in touch with the people in their lives.
