Sheltering in place with three active children for the last 3 months has been tough to say the least. Getting outdoors for fresh air, exercise while staying safe and socially distancing is a task. We try to take our boys outdoors (masks on) to play in front of the house and take quick walks around the block. Our outdoor time does not look like it did in the past but we have come up with some creative ideas to make it fun! Razor challenged us to create a scooter obstacle course to test out our new scooters.
We were gifted a Razor A5 LUX Kick Scooter (recommended for ages 8+) and Razor A Kick Scooter (recommended for ages 5+) to test out on our obstacle courses!
After unboxing them, the boys took them on a couple runs up and down the sidewalk in order to get used to them.
Next, we gathered materials to use for our obstacle course: sidewalk chalk, buckets, balls and cones.
We outlined a course on the sidewalk with sidewalk chalk that included arrows, loops, sharp turns and swirls. We added balls on top of overturned buckets that needed to be picked up and deposited into an awaiting bucket when riding the course.
Then, it was time to test it out on the scooters! First up, the Razor A5 LUX Kick Scooter. This scooter handled well but had some trouble making sharp turns ad following the outlined chalk curves because of the big wheels however the ride was very smooth!
Next, the Razor A Kick Scooter the rear fender breaks allowed for quick stops and made navigating the swirling chalk path pretty easy.
Here is your chance to WIN a Razor scooter of your own! Simply leave a message telling us what fun ideas you have to create a scooter obstacle course! (Winner will be randomly chosen and contacted on 6/30/2020)

Hey! We love to make obstacles courses. We are born ninjas. We have chalk and tape to draw the outline. We also have some fun confetti and silly string for the finish line. We also have cardboard and a skate park not to far away to practice ramp tricks.
