These Cricut Infusible ink blanks are versatile and offer simple crafting using any of the variety of infusible ink transfer sheets. There are several ready-made projects loaded in the Cricut Design app or you can create your own design in a couple of minutes.
How is Infusible Ink different from heat-transfer vinyl or iron-on?
Unlike the iron-on or HTV process, where artwork is attached on top of a base material using adhesive, an Infusible Ink transfer becomes one with the material itself. The results are bright, beautiful, seamlessly smooth transfers that never flake, peel, wrinkle, or crack.
Some other differences include:
- Iron-on or HTV materials can be applied to almost any surface
- Infusible Ink products must be applied to a compatible Infusible Ink blank
- You can use iron-on or HTV products on any color garment
- Infusible Ink products work with compatible* white or light-colored fabrics
After creating a design for the throw pillow cover in the app, I attached the infusible ink transfer sheet to the mat and fed it into my Cricut Maker machine. REMEMBER TO MIRROR YOUR IMAGE BECAUSE THIS IS AN IRON-ON. After the machine cut out the design, my son and I weeded the design, removing the excess material we did not need for this infusible ink project.
Which Cricut machines work with this system?
Infusible Ink is compatible with all Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore family machines, as well as Cricut EasyPress 2 and Cricut EasyPres
The last step is to use the Cricut Easy Press to infuse the design from the infusible ink sheet on to the 18×18 Cricut infusible ink blank pillow cover. REMEMBER to use the butcher paper that comes with box with the infusible ink transfer sheets when infusing the design to the Cricut infusible ink blanks.
